The ideal climate in the Venetian Lagoon

Cover HP and Super D17 systems were at the centre of the renovation of a 1480 building

Radiant systems are the ideal solution to make buildings comfortable and sustainable. In addition they maintain an ideal temperature, and they ensure a quiet, healthy and clutter-free environment.

Thanks to the wide range of solutions and the availability of space-saving lowered systems, these technologies are also particularly recommended for renovations and energy upgrades.

For the renovation of a palace dating back to the Gothic period, located in the historic centre of Venice, a combination of RDZ radiant systems was chosen to meet the specific technical requirements related to the characteristics of the building.

On the ground floor, where there was more available space, the choice fell on the traditional Cover HP 39 system. This system uses graphite-sintered polystyrene embossed panels, known to provide excellent thermal insulation performance with reduced footprint.

On the upper floors, where floor space was limited, a solution with low thickness and low thermal inertia was chosen. In particular, the Super D17 system was installed, characterised by expanded polystyrene panels sintered with graphite, with a high mechanical resistance (500 kPa), which allows it to be combined with special low screeds
