The worlds of school and work are nowadays two realities that are less and less shared and collaborative. Breaking this barrier that separates them, Donato Canizian - owner of the Rigo Impianti company - and his wife offered the students of the ITIS G. Galilei school in Conegliano (TV), a course where they could acquire new skills and put into practice the knowledge they had learnt during their studies.
The project involved twenty-two fourth-grade students who were followed by Canzian for 10 days in the experimentation of different activities related to the profession of installer: from a safety thing, to brazing, to theoretical training, to the assembly and start-up of air-conditioning products.
Rigo Impianti's aim was to bring the young people closer to the world of work but also to show them that they can be employed without finishing school early. This project also stimulated the students' growth from a cognitive and technical point of view, as activities requiring specific training were put into practice, and the development of the moral sphere was fostered, as approaching the world of work opened the door to new responsibilities for the students to internalise.
We were Rigo Impianti's partner and were delighted to receive the proposal to take part in the project. In particular, two of our Academy speakers held a half-day workshop on radiant heating and cooling systems and air treatment; topics that aroused the interest of our guests and aroused enthusiasm.
