Comfort for worshippers and energy savings for church facilities
RDZ underfloor heating also arrives in Spain
When building the heating system for the 1,600 m2 Parroquia Sagrado Corazón in Madrid, there were two main considerations that led to the choice of underfloor heating: on the one hand, the desire to guarantee a high level of comfort for the faithful who attend the place of worship, and on the other, the need to reduce energy consumption, a fundamental aspect both for economic savings and for a correct environmental policy.
Specifically, the RDZ underfloor systems installed in the Sagrado Corazón church are the Cover with Cover 20 panel and 17 mm diameter RDZ Clima PE-Xc pipe with anti-oxygen barrier and the Industrial Shaped with Cover 20 panel and 20 mm diameter RDZ Clima PE-Xc pipe with anti-oxygen barrier. 13 Control manifolds ensure the distribution of piping in the rooms and the control of individual zones by means of electrothermal heads. An RDZ electronic control system manages the system and ensures perfect operation at all times.
