Radiant ceiling system b!klimax for the Radiotherapy Centre of the Brescia Poliambulanza Foundation: comfort and healthiness in summer and winter

For the Radiotherapy Department of the Brescia Poliambulanza Foundation, the decision was made to use a modern room air-conditioning system for comfort and well-being.
The main requirements were to achieve comfort, high performance and a healthy environment. Based on these requirements, the design studios Fluid Energy and Horus Progetti opted for RDZ's b!klimax ceiling radiant system, which is ideal for maintaining comfort in all seasons. The uniform distribution of heat and cold, transmitted from the ceiling by radiation, ensures in fact an even distribution of temperatures inside the rooms, without the presence of annoying cold air jets. The absence of convective motion eliminates the problem of dust movement and air impurities, helping to increase the healthiness of the rooms. The very low thermal inertia, high efficiency and ease of cleaning make the system particularly suitable for buildings such as hospitals.
To guarantee maximum performance in summer and winter operation, the radiant system has been integrated with a thermoregulation system and an air system that provides the necessary power for dehumidification and air exchange.
